Non Critical Armor Segments

Anything that has nonCritical=”” in code means that if that armor segment goes down to 0, that ship WILL NOT DIE.

That's right folks, in Transcendence we have ships that have armor plating so massive that shooting at that same spot will NOT produce a nuclear meltdown and instead buy time for the enemy ship to destroy YOU.

Here's an example from the .tdb, taken from &scSungTransport;

	* Load adventure: We load the adventure that the player has selected. This may potentially enable or disable various extensions based on the requirements of each extension and the adventure itself.
	* Run <Globals>: Next we run the code in any <Globals> that we loaded. Note that there is no guarantee that the code will run; for example, if the adventure was already loaded, we will not run <Globals> again. The only guarantee is that…

Weapons are item types that fire projectiles. The <Weapon> element defines both the way in which projectiles are fired (e.g., the rate of fire, the power consumed, etc.) and the nature of the projectiles themselves (e.g., the speed of the projectile, the damage caused, etc.)

A damage string consists of a single damage specifier plus zero or more special damage modifiers. Each element is separated by semi-colons. Damage descriptor strings are generally used in weapon definitions. For example:

Radiation

Radiation can come from only a few select sources, such as the Sapiens, and from radioactive waste barrels. Some ships, like the one above, can spawn as contaminated or can become contaminated when in contact with a radioactive weapon.

Radiation IS VERY DEADLY. You have approximately 3 minutes (or 180 seconds) to get decontaminated. Get to a Commonwealth station, NOT a Corporate station (the Corporate will kick you out), and pay the 250 Credit fine (if you can't pay, you're dead)…

It is an adventure extension that strives to create an open ended game for Transcendence that encourages exploration and discovery of a totally new galaxy unrelated to the Domina and Oracus storyline.
